Once a year, the UK hosts the Open (The British Open Golf Championship). It is a BIG deal. This year, as is the case almost every year, it is in Scotland, the home of golf.
The opening round began today. My husband travels once a year with 3 friends to golf in Scotland- he'll head out this September. Needless to say, the TV will be tuned to the Golf Channel... all weekend.
Okay, I confess that , I love watching it with him-and no, I don't golf!
I found this image of two little boys, obviously brothers, in an antique shop in London a few years ago. It's framed in my living room. They're holding golf clubs. So adorable! I'm always wondering what became of them. The one on the left looks determined to win! I love the tradition this photograph depicts, don't you? A magical time back then....
ahhh, we had so much fun in Scotland last year with our family! The castles, the parks, the green...lovely!
Love the little lads, and their kilts, it reminds me of some wonderful days spent antiquing with my daughter in Aberdeen and Edinburgh!
