Hah! That's one of the things I love about you...never worried about following the rules because you make your own...that's one of the reasons why you are so special...you go girl!

A Fanciful Twist

I love white at any time of the year! Cheers to your wardrobe, it sounds wonderful!!!

Nancy Maxwell James

I don't think I own a pair of solid white shoes anymore :)
Have a wonderful weekend!

White is the new black. Stick it to the man, Don. You are an inspiration to all of us Shmoo's!

Blue. You know, the Shmoo?

Christine LeFever

What was that movie starring Kathleen Turner where she murdered a woman for wearing white shoes after Labor Day? It takes courage, Donna, to go ahead and wear them. I shall follow your lead!

Also, I only JUST learned that you'll be in Victoria! Oh, my goodness, Girl, this is fabulous!

Christine

You will forgive me then? I too shall be wearing my "whites" after labor day as I seem to not care what other people think. Besides I left my winter finery back at the Chateau!

Nice post and sweet photo!

oh happy weekend- wear anything you like - mix and match- be your self- dream even- oh and dont forget to put your lipstick on...

Miss Maddie's

Apparently the not wearing of white was a status symbol in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. It was tied to the middle class being able to prove that they now had acquired wealth like the rich.
I'm as poor as a church mouse so I'll wear white just like you Donna, as long as I want!!!Have a great Labour Day weekend. I'm off! Susan

Ulla

LOL Donna! You are a fashion maven! As far as I am concerned Queens can do anything they want to!!!

Ye gods and little fishes, Donna - do you run with scissors, too? You go, girl. Btw, I wish they made the seersucker jammies for adults that I had as a child...great memories of summer nights in those seersucker jammies...go to bed, Dorian, you're getting loopy!
