Donna, I know I am very stalker-ish by commenting on such an old post, but this really takes me back! I grew up in Fremont and it was always tradition during Christmas break to take a trip into the city on BART for a day of lunch and shopping with my mother. I'm 44 now and in Sacramento, so the memory is especially dear. Thanks! Your daughter is adorable.

Dearest Donna~ So sorry Betsy has not recovered fully yet. My thoughts are with her and her family. How sweet of you to take the girls shopping. Those are always fun times with teenage girls. Hope your birthday is special and you were pampered. Love and hugs to you...Iva

Glad that You had a wonderful Christmas! We also had a great holiday despite all! I´m so sorry for Your friend, hope that she will be well soon!
I would never had guessed that You´re turning 52! You sound so young! (I´m 44 but feel like 35!)I always say that it is the inside that counts not the outside looks, and I´m sure You look young as well! But then again that´s not important is it?
There is nothing moore beautiful than a woman who looks natural and shows that she has lifeexperience and is confident with herself. That is true beauty!
And I´m sure JD wouldn´t mind!
By the way I have a story on my blog that is inspired by You!
Please have a look!

Wish You and your family the best and a Happy Prosperous New Year!

I am thrilled to have found your wonderful blog! Your daughter is precious, and I remember the days when I took my own daughter (at 16) shopping in SF...such memories!

Stanford is a remarkable facility and I am sending caring and positive thoughts your way for Betsy, this has got to be a very rough piece of road to travel....I am so sorry.

Thank you for sharing your incredible talent and pieces of your life....Happy Birthday and Happy New Year...Pam

Welcome back, Donna - your presence was sorely missed! I have been taking a break myself and need to get on the ball updating my blog! Your trek to S.F. sounds like fun - I am with you on the comfort thing. No more high heels! Sorry to hear that Betsy is still down - but she is in extremely good hands. I'm glad her daughter has your family as a support system. As for 52? Haven't you heard that 60 is the new 40? (I hope so, as I will be there in July!) Happy New Year!

Melissa

Happy Birthday Donna! Your shopping excursion to S.F. with your daughter and her friends sounds delightful. Look forward to your adventures in 2008.

Happy New Year!

Lori

Donna, i am very sad to hear that Betsy is not more alert...BUT i have seen people who have been in a comatose state for MANY weeks wake up...so keep praying and hoping...i can never remember who said this "where there is life, there is hope" but i think of that often when i am at work...

NOW: THIS information has me all fired up...because i have SEEN pics and CANNOT believe you are turning 52!!! you are gorgeous and look wonderful...much better that my soon to be 42...Happy Birthday!!! and have a great time with those girls!!!...now excuse me while i go weep quietly in a corner...
