I'm a firm believer (huge, actually) that everything happens for a reason. I'm thinking there was a reason I stumbled upon my old sketches and I've picked up a pencil again.
Maybe something was trying to get my attention. Who knows!!
Whatever the reason, I'm definitely having fun exploring my old stomping grounds.
Maybe I'm headed in the right direction!!?? We'll see. Maybe use the drawings on tags or stationary?
I don't know. Either way it's a fun diversion and/or addition to my other kind of art. (This sketch inspired from an old sketch of 'a children's pantomime' from 1876)
And speaking of diversions, I will be off until mid to late August. I'm participating in a fantastic artists' show called Tinsel And Treasures on September 13th, so I need to get busy and prepare for that. And on August 16, American Harvest will be having their annual Halloween Party. So.....that's what I'll be up to. I'm sure I'll be visiting you now and again until then, maybe posting a preview of my progress but for the most part I'll be working at the real job, and then catching up with family, friends and creating.
