That's a good question. I guess I can't skirt the issue anymore. Here are some of the men in my life who have decided to forgo the trouser.

So who doesn't wear the pants in your family? Ah, there's always that one crazy, mad uncle.

I wish.

Serendipitous. My great-grandfather was born in Dresden, Germany.

And my love affair with Dresden trims is no secret.

Do you believe in fate?

Is it just a coincidence that I use so many Dresden trims in much of my artwork?

What if he was born in a different city?

 

Like, say... Frankfurt....Perhaps the coincidence  would be different....

 

Maybe I'd be serving you hot dogs instead of crowns!!

 

I can see it now. My little deli on the corner...
